Archive: Leeds is a collaboration with Sarah Dee Barrett

As artists interested in working in the public realm, we felt the need for a comprehensive resource looking at the possibilities of spaces, public and private, for creative events and exhibitions.  Archive: Leeds is a resource of information regarding art activity in Leeds, focusing on the usage of venues and spaces.  The aim of the project was to make useful information freely available to encourage creative activity in the city.

There are no restrictions on what is seen as a “venue,” all spaces are considered from art galleries to underpasses. Over time the archive will be gradually expanded to include information on useful local resources, contacts and art groups in the area.

Archive: Leeds is now permanently housed in theartmarket, Leeds and can be accessed during its opening times.
