January 2012

I’m very chuffed to say that my Colour Cubes T-shirt has been included in Etsy’s Spring Lookbook for 2012.  I’ve had a good look through the whole book and there are some lovely fresh things to buy.

Here are some of my favourites:

I also enjoyed reading the artist/maker interviews at the back to get an insight into how the artists started out and what their studio spaces look like.  The digital version of this book can be seen here: http://issuu.com/etsy/docs/etsyspring2012

I’ve had a sneaky peek at the Festival Annual 10 and it looks great. My photo of the carousel will appear in the Camp Bestival section. The Festival Annual is packed full of colourful images from the best UK festivals including Bestival, Shambala, Reading/Leeds, Global Gathering, Field Day, Latitude and Lovebox and more. I’m looking forward to seeing all the festival goers fancy dress outfits.

For a discount of £8 off a copy of the Festival Annual 10 go to the shop and at the checkout, enter the promo code ALICIA and click on apply changes. Enjoy!

My degree show work (Re-Toyed Trash) is in the Leeds College of Art & Design 08/09 prospectus.  Alongside work that had been made at previous workshops, I exhibited an interactive projection of the Re-Toyed Trash blog and had a workshop bench and materials for visitors to make their own toys with.  My coursemate Bav Shah is making a toy at the workshop bench during his invigilation of our Art & Design degree show.
