I was invited to do some workshops in the Folksy tent at the Lovebox Weekender in Victoria Park, London. In the workshops I helped children to make plush toys.
Crafty Folk workshops
June 2008
I ran a series of workshops with the Crafty Folk in Knottingley teaching them how to make soft toys.
Cathedral School
10th October 2007
I ran workshops with Nicolar Bell at Wakefield College for Partake’s Cathedral School launch night. In our workshops we helped children to make felt finger puppets, plush toys and cardboard robots.
Innocent Village Fete
4-5th August 2007
I was invited to run a series of plush toy making workshops by Folksy at the Innocent Village Fete, Regents Park, London. The workshop was for people of all ages and we used discarded clothing and unwanted fabrics to make the toys with.
Moor Music Festival

I ran a workshop to help kids make soft toys in the kids tent at the Moor Music festival.
Plush character workshops
19th-22nd May 2007
I held two plush character workshops as part of Re-Toyed Trash in an abandoned unit in the Merrion Market, Leeds. The workshops were in association with theartmarket’s ‘Corner in the Market’ programme for Situation Leeds festival. One of the workshops was with Nicolar Bell who had created templates of her plush foxes for other people to make their own. All work made in these workshops then went on to be displayed in a exhibition of Re-Toyed Trash work.
Workshop for Ladyfest Leeds
April 2007
I ran a toy making workshop during Ladyfest Leeds festival as part of Re-Toyed Trash. To make the trash toys we were sticking together a number of discarded items such as broken toys, broken electrical equipment and abandoned shop stock.
Broken Biscuits at Unity Day
August 2006
The Broken Biscuits group provided workshops and performed in the performance tent at Unity Day in Woodhouse Moor, Hyde Park, Leeds. The event included live music by Wisdomtooth and Kieron Jackson, free painting with Amy Warren and Lorna, and films by Dan Walls and myself.
